I had Restylane Lyft placed in high lateral cheek bones. Loved the results but it wore off too fast. A
How long does Lyft last?
Nov 18, 2023
Typically, Lyft lasts longer than that but potentially something like Sculptra or Radiesse could last longer as they are clinically indicated to last 2 years and 18 months.
How long does it take for Restylane Lyft to set?
The effect is immediate
Nov 18, 2023
The effect is immediate however, there is swelling when you initially inject it. I find that the filler usually looks its best about a week after injection when it's integrated into the tissue and the swelling is gone.
What can I do about permanent asymmetry in chin caused by Dysport?
An asymmetrical smile
Nov 18, 2023
The injector likely hit the DLI (depressor labia inferioris) instead of the DAO or mentalis. This can create an asymmetrical smile. Normally I recommend just allowing the dysport to wear off if this occurs. Since the other side was also treated and potentially overtreated, I would avoid treating in this area until the muscles completely recover. Some providers, including myself have seen some success with using Upneeq to temporarily increase the muscle activity in the DLI by placing the...
Tyndall effect for 3 years
Possible PIH or Hemosideran staining
Nov 18, 2023
It sounds like you may have some post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), hemosiderin staining or potentially extremely thinned skin from over hylenexing. It could even be that some of the filler has migrated so close to the surface that its creating a blue tint called the Tindel Effect. Treatment would depend on the actual cause. IPL that addresses red pigment could help if its staining or (PIH). If the skin is very thin, then treatments to increase collagen and perhaps even a thin filler...
Does Jeuveau require more units than Dysport?
Jeauveau vs. Dysport
Nov 18, 2023
Jeauveau and Dysport units are measured differently. For every one unit of Jeaveau you need to use three units of Dysport. So, your old Dysport dose was the equivalent of 20 units of Jeuveau (10 on each side). So using 50 units of Jeuveau (25 units of Jeuveau on each side)will likely result in weakening the masseter more. This could potentially lead to a more noticeable and longer lasting result.
