San Jose Liposuction Cost

Liposuction in San Jose is a surgical operation aimed at removing excess fat from certain parts of the body.

Water-jet liposuction. When carrying out water jet liposuction, pulsating water jets are used, which allows the fat cells to be washed out of the body. The jet of aqueous solution is fed at a certain angle. Progress of the operation

“Super-wet” technique. With a super-wet technique, a greater amount of physiological fluid is introduced than with a wet technique. The solution is introduced in a ratio of 1: 1 or 1: 1.5 (the amount of liquid is approximately equal to the volume of fat that will be removed). Less than 1% of what is sucked up is blood.

Tumescent liposuction. With this technique, more liquid is injected than with super-moist liposuction. The surgeon injects physiological saline three to six times more than the volume of the aspirate to be removed. This method is used when it is necessary to remove a large amount of fat. However, the tumescent method is dangerous because of potential fluid overload and an overdose of an anesthetic.

Tests

General urine test, biochemical blood test, examination of blood electrolytes, blood test for syphilis, HIV infection and hepatitis, ECG.

Anesthesia

Usually liposuction is performed under general anesthesia, knees, cheeks or chin – under local anesthesia with sedative therapy, and when, for example, liposuction of the hips is performed, local spinal anesthesia is used.

Duration

The time of the procedure is from 1 hour to 3 hours, depending on the area of operation and the amount of fat removed.

Hospital stay

You can go home in 1-2 hours in the company of a friend or family member. If desired, the patient can remain in the hospital under the supervision of a professional and attentive staff during the day.

Before operation

For 2 weeks before the operation, you should stop taking alcohol and blood-thinning medications (aspirin, hormones and so on).

6-8 hours before the beginning of liposuction, you should stop eating. Avoid excessive sun before surgery and do not follow strict diets, as this can affect recovery ability.

Recovery period

The recovery period takes 2-4 weeks. Changes in the body will become visible after 2 weeks, and the final result will be visible in six months.

Special compression garment or bandage is applied on the operated area, which should be worn for a few days, it reduces swelling and helps the skin to adapt to new forms. Swelling will take place within 2-5 weeks. Patients return to work 1-2 weeks after the operation.
