Biography: Dr. Armstrong received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2013. After receiving her Master’s degree at Vanderbilt University in 2008, she worked as the Trauma Team Coordinator at Vanderbilt Children’s hospital before relocating to Chattanooga, TN. Dr. Armstrong has experience in adult surgical intensive care, adult and pediatric emergency/trauma, pediatric/neonatal intensive care as well as the field of aesthetics medicine. While her passion lies in aesthetics, Dr. Armstrong enjoys many aspects of critical care nursing and she has a published chapter on Pediatric Trauma in the textbook Nursing Care of the Critically Ill Child Ed. 3 by Mary Fran Hazinski. In addition to working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at PM Pediatrics, she also works in the Children’s Emergency Dept. at the Childrens Hospital at Erlanger. She also teaches both undergraduate and graduate nursing courses at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
