These brown spots – acne marks – won’t go from my upper arms and my back.

Although without seeing it in person it always become a little difficult but it does appear to be KP. Frequently I see in my practice that patients have a tendency to scratch or pick at these areas which can cause some hyperpigmentation (brown or discolored). An off label treatment for this is Obagis new KeraPhine lotion along with sunscreen/hydroquinone.
See a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon with a larger skin care practice like mine.
