Augmentation will lift one’s nipple relative to the breast mound and, the larger the volume, the greater the lift. To be sure, a mastopexy does not move the base of the breast. I’m sure the majority of my colleagues would not recommend removing any skin in your case. Depending on the placement of the prostheses, there are 2 internal strategies to consider to maximize lift: the so-called dual plane technique or absorbable barbed sutures.
