I hate my new eyebrow tattoo. Can I use hydroquinone to fade that away?
How to fade eyebrow tattoo
Mar 22, 2016
Hydroquinone will not lighten the ink of an eyebrow tattoo.  However, removing the tattoo with the Picosure laser is an option.  Depending on the ink used to pigment the brow a test pulse of the Picosure will tell the physician if it is safe to remove your tattoo.  Removing or even lightening the tattoo would allow a skilled permanent make-up technician to correct a previous undesirable result. All the best, Dr Carr
Can this multicolor tattoo be removed?
Multi-color tattoos can be removed!
Nov 28, 2015
Tattoo regret can certainly occur for many reasons but fortunately the new picosecond lasers can help in their removal. The PicoSure laser can remove even red pigment in half the number of treatments of the older generation lasers with very low risk of scar. Laser tattoo removal, even with the picosecond systems, is a process and will require multiple treatments. However, the results will be worth your trouble!
What type of laser tattoo removal would be best for my tattoo? Picosure or Astanza Trinity?
Best laser to remove a tattoo
Oct 20, 2015
Without a doubt the Picosure laser would be the best technology to remove your tattoo. The older generation nanosecond lasers require an average of 15 treatments with a 5% risk of scar. The more advanced Picosure can remove your laser in half the number of treatments with a less than 1% risk of color and texture change in the treated area.

Let's remove that tattoo!
Oct 20, 2015
Whenever you get tired of a tattoo, or regret it in the first place, tattoo laser removal has become much more effective than in years gone by. With the new picosecond technology even large darkly pigmented tattoos can be removed in fewer sessions with minimal risk of scar. The Picosure laser is great at all colors, green, black, blue, red, yellow. Find a dermatologist in your area that offers Picosure tattoo laser treatments. Get a consultation and plan to say...
Is laser tattoo removal at all similar to scar removal surgery?
Tattoo covering a tummy tuck scar
Aug 25, 2015
Removing the tattoo with laser tattoo removal, preferably the newest generation laser Picosure, will not have an impact on the existing scar. Scars tend to mature over time and lose their bright red color. The width of the scar will not change.
What treatment do I need to remove scarring that resulted from laser tattoo removal?
What to do about scarring from laser tattoo removal?
Jul 8, 2015
With the older nanosecond laser tattoo removal loss of normal skin tone (whitening) and thick scars (keloids) are not infrequently seen in darker skin types. The newer Picosure laser has less than a one percent chance of causing such scarring. Injecting the thick scars with a steroid solution will help to improve the texture. More laser treatments with the Picosure to further remove the residual tattoo ink would also be advisable. Once the scars have been smoothed and...

What is the pink discoloration on the lip
Jul 8, 2015
It is hard to say what is causing the pink color on your lip. It is possible that you are dropping pigment in your lip from a condition called vitiligo. Consult a dermatologist who can examine your lips and look for other areas of pigment loss on the body. Pigment can also be lost from an exposure to chemicals (such as cleaning compounds containing phenols)
What could be causing my acne, and how can I get rid of it?
What are the causes of adult acne
May 13, 2015
As an adult it must be frustrating to deal with problems most of us outgrow in our teen years. But, 12% of adult women indeed deal with acne break-outs. While you are in the minority, you are not alone. Stress, hormones, and inappropriate selections of make-ups and cosmetics are the major factors in adult acne. Consult with a dermatologist in your area for a complete evaluation. A good topical regimen with perhaps a low dose birth control pill or spironolactone...

Best laser for laser hair removal in a darker complected individual
May 13, 2015
First, let me congratulate you on taking control of your PCOS. You have accomplished much with your weight reduction. Even without PCOS, South Asians often struggle with excess hair. It is safest in your skin type to use the NdYag laser system for permanent hair reduction. All the best, Dr Carr

Concerns over white scars
May 13, 2015
It is always difficult to tell from a photo the nature of a scar. It is possible that you have not experienced irreversible scarring but rather a temporary pigment change from your treatment. Please go back to your treating physician and let them help you with your complications. Your dermatologist should work with you to help you recover from this problem. All the best, Dr Carr

Remedies for acne and acne scarring
May 13, 2015
Your first step should be to control the acne breakouts. This can be done with a combination of topical and possibly oral medications. The nature of the marks left behind from your acne are three-fold. One, there is redness left behind from the pimples. Two, there are sunken scars on the temples and possibly the cheeks. Third, there are hypertrophic scars (lifted from the surface) on the nose. The different types of scarring must be addressed in different...
Which tattoo removal laser is superior? The Alex TriVantage, the Astanza Trinity, or the Medlite C6.
Which laser tattoo removal system is best?
May 5, 2015
The newest and best laser tattoo removal system currently available is the Picosure laser. It removes tattoos with half the number of treatments as the older technologies. There is less than a 1% risk of scarring. It is even effective on "ghost" tattoos that have failed previous removal attempts! Before you make your decision contact a doctor in your area who offers the Picosure laser. A consultation will help you decide what is the best choice for you.Wishing you...

When is the optimal time to remove a tattoo?
Apr 27, 2015
With laser tattoo removal the younger the age of the tattoo the fewer treatments it will take to successfully remove an unwanted tattoo. The Picosure laser is the state of the art tattoo removal laser. Half the number of treatments are necessary compared to the older generation lasers. Once your wound has healed and no crusting is left you may begin the process of removing that unwanted ink!All the best, Dr Carr
How many sessions do think this will take to get removed?
How many sessions to remove a tattoo?
Mar 26, 2015
The number of treatments necessary to remove a tattoo is dependent on many variables. The age of the tattoo, the type of ink and its depth and density of application, all influence the number of treatment sessions required. The type of laser used will also impact the number of treatments required. The best tattoo laser available is the Picosure. You can expect half the number of treatments than with the older generation lasers. I would not be surprised if 6-8...
Could this tattoo be removed?
What to do about a large unwanted tattoo?
Mar 26, 2015
The only option you have for removing this tattoo is with laser technology. Fortunately laser technology has much improved over the years and currently the best tattoo removal laser is the Picosure. You can expect half the number of treatments than with older generation lasers. Such a large and solidly pigmented tattoo will not be an easy fix. I would suggest working on segments of the tattoo rather than the whole at one time. There will be blistering and...
