Tingling sensation in forehead as Botox wears off – normal?
Tingling sensation
Jul 27, 2015
The tingling you are experiencing may be from the movement in your muscle returning to its prior state before Botox. It’s been almost the allotted 3 months of Botox effectiveness, so you may need to have more injected.Thank you for your question.Kate Ross, MD
Will Botox help this thickened skin caused by eczema?
Will Botox help?
Jul 27, 2015
I suggest about 7 units of Botox and a superficial filler that can be used to recreate your lip line and columella. Best to see an experienced injector in person for best advice. Thank you for your question and for sharing your pictures!Kate Ross, MD
When will my cheeks and jaw bone area start to peel?
When will I peel?
Jul 27, 2015
Typically the areas you haven’t experienced peeling yet, take a bit longer because by anatomy the skin is thicker. Having said that, if the peel wasn’t deep enough you may not peel there at all. Thank you for your question.Kate Ross, MD
Is my face still swollen after fat transfer?
Is my face still swollen?
Jul 27, 2015
I typically tell my patients that the majority of the swelling is gone after about 2 weeks, but the residual can remain for up to 3-6 months after the procedure. If the swelling persists or becomes much worse, I suggest discussing it with your surgeon.Thank you for your question!Kate Ross, MD
Help! What is this? After perfect peel? Hyperpigmentation?
What is this?
Jul 27, 2015
It looks like the skin is beginning to slough off and leave the new skin behind. I wouldn’t be terribly concerned because it doesn’t look to be permanent. Thank you for your question and for sharing your pictures!Kate Ross, MD
Fat fransfer to hips (1 week post op). My hips still look narrow – help!
Fat transfer to hips
Jul 27, 2015
At one week post op it is too soon to see what your results will be. I suggest keeping regular follow ups with your surgeon and waiting to see what you’re outcome is in a few months.Thank you for your question and happy healing!Kate Ross, MD
Burning, numbness, pins and needles on scalp and face. This started after Botox
Pain from Botox
Jul 27, 2015
I don’t believe Botox is the main cause for your issue. However, the injection process may have triggered shingles if you had chicken pox as a child. I suggest seeing the neurologist a bit sooner than November.Thank you for your question.Kate Ross, MD
Any ways to get rid of acne scars and scabs on buttocks?
Acne scars and scabbing on buttocks
Jul 27, 2015
I suggest possible laser treatments for stretch marks and scars. As for the scabbing, I believe a consultation is necessary because you need to find the source of what is causing the scabs.Thank you for your question.Kate Ross, MD
Is there any way to make my middle forehead part just above the glabellar to look fuller?
Botox or filler
Jul 27, 2015
You can have filler in that area to increase volume. Best to see an experienced and credentialed injector for good results.Thank you for your question and for sharing your picture.Kate Ross, MD
Should I consider a chemical peel for little areas of acne scarring, which aren’t deep?
Chemical peels for acne scars
Jul 27, 2015
I think that chemical peels for treating your acne scars are an excellent solution. Be sure to have one done by a licensed aesthetician.Thank you for your question.Kate Ross, MD
I have uneven skin tone, sun spots, acne scars, asymmetrical eyelids, and wrinkles. What are my best opti
Uneven skin tone and scars
Jul 27, 2015
There are many topical skin creams that can help correct skin tone and texture. Best to see a dermatologist face-to-face to narrow down your best option.Thank you for your question and for sharing your picture!Kate Ross, MD
Is it possible to get a large bump under the skin 4 weeks after Botox?
Bump from Botox?
Jul 27, 2015
I don’t believe that Botox is the reason for the red spot on your forehead. It may be a pimple from a breakout or contact dermatitis. I suggest seeing your injector if you believe it’s truly from Botox. Thank you for your question and for sharing your pictures!Kate Ross, MD
Liposuction and fat transfer. Is it safe to go back home/to the hotel hours after my surgery?
Going home after surgery
Jul 27, 2015
Typically both of the procedures you’re having are outpatient and I often send my patients home. Best way to prevent infection is good hygiene and taking prophylactic antibiotics prescribed by your surgeon.Thank you for your question.Kate Ross, MD
For fat transfer to face/cheeks, what technique gives best long lasting results?
Fat transfer to cheeks
Jul 27, 2015
Fat grafting with small incisions in the lower portion of your nasolabial fold using a cannula is typically most common. As long as the fat is layered in small portions and finessed to the cheek, the results are very good. Having said that, fat is subjective and if you lose weight or partake in a lot of cardio/fat burning exercise it can cause the fat transferred to dissipate.Thank you for your question and for sharing your picture!Kate Ross, MD
How can I get rid of premature wrinkles caused by allergies? I’m so insecure and cannot smile in public.
How can I get rid of premature wrinkles?
Jul 27, 2015
I suggest a filler in your tear trough area to restore volume loss, such as Radiesse. I also recommend finding a good allergist.Thank you for your question and for sharing your pictures!Kate Ross, MD
