Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Dr. Williams graduated from Dartmouth College in 1991. Dr. Williams then worked as a research assistant at the National Cancer Institute (division of the National Institutes of Health) prior to and during medical school. Her area of research was antifungal therapies for immunocompromised patients.

She remained in Washington, D.C. for medical school, attending the George Washington University School of Medicine. During medical school she became interested in surgery, and in particular, plastic surgery.

She returned to Philadelphia for her General Surgery Residency at the Graduate Hospital in affiliation with the University of Pennsylvania. From there, she went to New York, where she completed a Burn and Reconstructive Fellowship at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College. Following this fellowship, she entered a Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Camden, New Jersey.

Dr. Williams moved to Charleston in August 2002, after completing her plastic surgery residency. She has been in private practice since that time. Her clinic is located at 999 Lake Hunter Circle, Suite D, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464, and she holds privileges at East Cooper Hospital, Mount Pleasant Hospital, Roper Hospital, and Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Williams also performs her cosmetic surgeries in her state of the art surgery suite, fully accredited by AAAASF, also located at her clinic in Mt. Pleasant.

In 2009, Dr. Williams founded the Mount Pleasant Medispa, to work alongside her existing practice to provide the latest advances in skin care therapies, while continuing to offer the highest level of surgical care.
