After receiving her degree in nursing through Wichita State University, she was blessed to work with a progressive dermatologist who instilled in her a deep knowledge of cosmetic dermatology. Under his mentorship, Sommer was introduced to the practice of lasers in cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
