Answer Snippet
Why is the area near my incision hard on only one breast?
Firmness near incision
Jun 2, 2017
The firmness you’re feeling is likely a scar that is still maturing. These can feel firm and raised and look pink, then start to soften/flatten/fade over the next few months and continue to do so for over a year. You may want to have your surgeon exam you to confirm this is the case and discuss scar massage or topicals that may help.
Help! Incision opened up 2 1/2 weeks after breast augmentation surgery will it heal on its own?
Delayed healing
Jun 1, 2017
I’m sorry you’ve had a delay in healing but based on your photos, it looks like the incision should heal without additional intervention. With a superficial wound, the implants are generally not affected and do not require removal. Follow your doctor’s instructions and best of luck!
