Pain is a general term for nerve dysfunction of which there are many descriptions. Chronic pain after large augmentation can be difficult to treat because obviously the nerves have been “stretched” and now the “pain” is of a “burning” type. Burning pain indicates nerve dysfunction which may be treated with “nerve” medications such as gabapentin.
