Hello and thank you for your question. You would need to stay home for a week only, since your work does not require heavy lifting. The amount of cc's does not really matter. Most patients don't require but maybe a couple of days of pain medication and all stitches are removed in 10 days.

If you have a fever or are feeling ill I would not wait,even if you have to go to the emergency room. If there is no fever and no drainage, keep the area DRY. No Neosporin or other antibiotic ointments , continue the antibiotics and see your doctor in the two days as scheduled.

It is very possible that this could be cartlage. It could also be scar tissue or even a stitch. Have it checked, it could be an easy fix.
