Biography: Jason grew up in south Georgia and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2005 from the University of Georgia. After graduation, he started his MBA, but soon realized that business wasn’t his true calling — he felt deep down that medicine was what he was really passionate about. Jason went on to earn his Master in Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science in Boston in 2012. Over the past 7 years he has worked in Emergency Medicine, but within the last 3 years developed a strong interest in Dermatology. Jason enjoys dermatology because he loves making people feel more confident and comfortable with themselves by improving their current skin conditions.

In his spare time, Jason can be found working out, trying new restaurants and watching any sports that he can- especially Georgia Bulldog’s football. He is a musician and an avid world traveler as well.

Biography: Lisa grew up in the Fort Worth/Weatherford area. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Arlington, and she received her B.S. in Physician Assistant studies as part of the inaugural class of the PA program at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Prior to joining our practice, Lisa worked in primary care for 8 years. She has been part of the Mansfield Dermatology team since 2007.

Biography: Mimi Uyen Phan joined United Dermatology Associates in the summer of 2015. She is a physician assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners.

A DFW native, Mimi earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at The University of Texas in Arlington. She continued to work in the academic field with the Tarrant County College District as an instructional associate for the Department of Natural Sciences before pursing her passion for medicine. Mimi is a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies.

She enjoys practicing medical dermatology, but she also has a special interest in non-invasive cosmetic procedures. Mimi enjoys seeing patients and caring for them each as her own family members. “I value the meaning of hard work and dedicate myself to providing only the very best of care for my patients.”

Biography: Certified Physician Assistant Paige Herlihy grew up locally in Dallas and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Texas A&M University. She graduated with University and Foundation Honors. During her time at Texas A&M, Paige was involved in student government and was elected leadership positions within her sorority. She continues to enjoy keeping up with Aggie sports.

In 2013, Paige earned her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from UT Southwestern in Dallas and is currently certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Paige is a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

She joined United Dermatology Associates in January 2016, which fulfilled her lifelong dream of a career in dermatology. Paige has had a love for all aspects of dermatology since she can remember and is thankful for the opportunity to serve patients, family, and friends.

Name: Brian Cook, PA-C

Biography: Mr. Brian E. Cook is a board certified physician assistant (PA-C) who received additional specialized training in dermatology. He practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology for patients of all ages. Brian earned his Master’s of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Yale University, where he was awarded Honors for his thesis on Omega 3 Fatty Acids. In addition to being a full time clinician, Brian is an educator who has trained nurses, medical student’s, physicians, as well as other PA’s. Prior to becoming a PA, Brian graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree and he served with distinction as an officer in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps.

Brian enjoys building relationships with his patients by spending the time needed to educate them on effective skincare regimens, disease prevention, and if needed customized skin therapies thereby allowing the patient a proactive role.

Name: Kyla Crispe, MPAS, PA-C

Biography: Kyla grew up in a small farming and ranching community in Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Wyoming. She then attended Texas A&M University where she did breast cancer research and taught undergraduate anatomy. Kyla returned to Colorado and attended Colorado State University to earn her Master of Science in Biomedical Science in 2012.

In May 2016, she graduated with honors from the University of North Texas Health Science Center with her Master in Physician Assistant Studies. She was also inducted into Pi Alpha, the PAEA National Honor Society. Kyla is a physician assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

She currently lives in Fort Worth with her husband, daughter, horses and dogs. She and her husband grew up riding horses and enjoy spending time with animals and the outdoors. They are happy to call Cow-Town home.

Name: Tiffany Bivens, MPAS, PA-C

Biography: Tiffany Bivens attended Iowa State University where she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Science in Exercise Physiology. She relocated to Dallas to research at the prestigious Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine, where she was a Senior Research Associate studying cardiac function and autonomic control. Tiffany authored many journal articles, but felt that her true calling was caring for those patients participating in the studies. The Iowa-native followed her heart to the University of North Texas Health Science Center to earn her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies and become a Certified Physician Assistant.

Inspired by Dr. Hoang and the other providers at United Dermatology Associates, Tiffany takes a holistic approach to dermatology and believes that many dermatology afflictions are related to overall wellness. She loves that dermatology allows her to treat patients of all ages, and considers it an honor to be a healthcare partner.
