Fat grafting could also be useful to you as an adjunct to you breast implant reconstruction. Fat grafting to the mastectomy flaps can add soft tissue, making them feel softer. This may require repeat treatments, but is very useful for improving feel, contour, and masking some of the rippling that can come with any size implant. Insurance coverage for this procedure varies by payor and location, but is often a covered procedure.
