You can some improvement from non invasive techniques, but nothing like the results with traditional liposuction. You get the results in one session and the recovery is minimal with liposuction. I feel it is vastly more cost and result effective. (Toby Mayer, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Treatment is not what you think.
Louis Pasteur said to a graduate student looking through a microscope: “Be careful what you look for, you might find it.” Wouldn’t it be great if shining a light on your skin would get rid of fat.
No even better, we will make a really big show and shine a laser on the skin. If you carefully read the i-lipo site, post treatment exercise is needed to make the treatments work!
I assure you that it is more cost effective to by-pass the procedure and simply hire a personal trainer and you will most likely have weight reduction and contour improvement that is every bit as good as the laser treatment. (Kenneth D. Steinsapir, MD, Beverly Hills Oculoplastic Surgeon)
Does I-lipo work?
There have not been any scientific study or clinical study of large number of patients that show a significant benefit of I-liposuction over traditional liposuction.(Sean Younai, MD, FACS, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon)
ILipo vs. Surgical Liposuction
Structural change requires surgery. Dozens of “non-surgical”, “non invasive” , laser, ultrasound, radio frequency & cryo devices are advertised & hyped year after year in their newer, “latest” fancy avatars (x, xUltra, xUltra Plus, xSuper) as liposuction alternatives.
My take is, there are so many of them year after year, as all of them do precious little. At best, they help you to achieve “subtle” changes (always in the fine print). I am not aware of any medical or scientific literature claiming that they achieve results even close to what is possible with surgical liposuction (SAL,PAL,VAL et. all).
Secondly, I am not aware of a single clinic around where I practice which offers 8, sometimes 12 sessions of external, non surgical lipolysis without a strict diet & exercise plan. Go figure. (Sameer Karkhanis, MS, DNB, India Plastic Surgeon)
I have not seen any studies on the iLipo system, proving that it really works. “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”. Save your money! (Thomas Fiala, MD, Orlando Plastic Surgeon)
Why waste your time and $??? Best to have some form of invasive liposuction (Darryl J. Blinski, MD, Miami Plastic Surgeon)
Be careful with these marketed named procedures or machines. Good old traditional lipo usually provides the safest results and is very reliable. (Steven Wallach, MD, New York Plastic Surgeon)
