The cost of Vaser Liposuction depends on the body area treated. Pricing for Vaser Lipo is not like purchasing laundry detergent by comparing prices between Target and WalMart, because the answer is “it depends.”
It depends on how many areas from which you want fat removed, your general health and other factors, so it’s impossible to give a flat quote on a forum like this without seeing you in person. The biggest question to ask is whether the board certified plastic surgeon you choose has extensive experience with Vaser Lipo, and how his before and after photos match up to your expectations for your own results.
That’s the question to ask. You can use financing to budget the procedure over time. (Paul Vanek, MD, Cleveland Plastic Surgeon)
Cost of Vaser Liposuction
Costs can vary depending on the provider performing the procedure, the area of the body undergoing the treatment and the area of the country you reside. For the Washington DC metro region we may have slightly higher fees than other areas, especially if being performed by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and not by another specialist who may not be as thoroughly trained in aesthetic surgical procedures.
Often the fees charged relate to the time that it takes to perform the liposuction. For example, the abdomen will take 2-3 times as long to contour as the inner thighs and the cost will reflect that.
Typically the procedure is performed under twilight sedation or general anesthesia, both of which are administered in our practice by Board Certified Anesthesiologists. The cost of not only anesthesia but also for the operating room and the Vaser equipment itself needs to be factored into the final outline of costs.
Your surgeon should provide not only a detailed quote of Vaser liposuction surgical fees by each area but also of the other fees mentioned above. (Douglas L. Forman, MD, Bethesda Plastic Surgeon)
Depending upon the number of sites being treated and the need for anesthesia, VASER can range from a couple of thousand dollars to over 10,000. VASER is a great tool but not necessary in all lipo cases.
Best results from VASER combine it with standard tumescent liposuction techniques. It is important to also remember that it is not the tool, but the hands guiding the tool that are going to give you a great result.
Be sure your surgeon is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and preferably a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. (Robert Steely, MD, FACS, Houston Plastic Surgeon)
VASER Liposuction cost vary and it depends on many factors
While searching on the price some questions need to answer. Expertise of the surgeon, Area of practice. Location of the procedure, Office based practice or hospital.
Method of anesthesia, Recovery. Safety. Number of years and number of the procedure performed by the surgeon. Whether cost include Post op care plan or not. We offer starting price of 4000$ per area which includes 6 month free follow up. (Hasan Ali, MBBS, MRCS, MS, Dubai Plastic Surgeon)
I perform VASER liposuction frequently in my practice and do not charge per area, due to the variances in the amount of fat in different areas.
The average cost of VASER liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, and inner thighs can range from $6,000-$12,000 depending on how much fat needs to be removed. (Dennis Hurwitz, MD, FACS, Pittsburgh Plastic Surgeon)
It is difficult to give absolute prices for liposuction without a consultation because the fees are partly dependent on time, what areas are treated, the number of areas treated, and what part of the country you are in.
Generally, it costs $5000 as a starting point to do just about anything, but we give discounts for multiple areas. Where I practice, the anesthesiologists charge by area for liposuction and give a discount on multiple areas.
The facility charges simply by the amount of time it will take. For the physician fee, I always give a discount for multiple areas. The best way to locate physicians who do Vaser liposuction is to look at the Vaser website.
The only time I have seen prices that high for Vaser is Vaser Hi Def. (Jeffrey A. Jones, MD, Hendersonville Plastic Surgeon)
The costs of VASER liposuction, as with any other procedure, will depend on many variables, such as the number of areas being treated, the length of the surgery, where you have the surgery done, and the doctor’s reputation and availability.
It does sound like your estimate is a bit high, as for the areas you listed, our fees would typically be lower, but of course, this is without benefit of having examined you, so bear that in mind. (Armando Soto, MD, FACS, Orlando Plastic Surgeon)
