Breast size recommendation? I am currently 32b
Breast implant size
Dec 3, 2016
First of all you are an excellent candidate for a breast augmentation. Depending on the size of the implant you choose it is possible to create more cleavage. With regards to the size of the implant this is a very personal decision. You are the one that will have to live with it. There are various techniques available to help you choose a size including computer imaging. I have found that it is beneficial for the patient to try on...
Will my nipples be raised a little more once the implants drop?
Post breast augmentation
Dec 3, 2016
It is very common after a sub muscular breast augmentation that the implants raise higher on the chest initially. This is as a result of contraction of the chest muscles pushing the implants higher. This causes the nipple areolar complex to become lower. As the chest muscles relax the implants drop and the nipple areolar complex elevates. This whole process can take several months.
18 months post pregnancy and breastfeeding. Breasts small/saggy/asymmetrical.
Post pregnancy breast augmentation
Nov 30, 2016
First of all congratulations on your pregnancy and weight loss thereafter. While a lateral view of your chest would be helpful to see the position of your nipples compared to your breast fold it does appear that you would be an excellent candidate for a breast augmentation. The lateral view would help determine if a lift is necessary or not. I suspect from the single photograph that you probably do not need one. Even if there was a question of requiring a lift it would...
It's been a year and a half. Will my scar get lighter or is this it?
Surgical scar
Nov 29, 2016
Thank you for your question. Healing after surgery takes approximately 9 to 12 months. Initially the incision can be thickened, raised and pink. Overtime these tend to flatten and lighten. Given the amount of time that has passed since your surgery this may be your final appearance. If you press on the pink area and it blanches then it is possible that this may lighten in color still but not very likely. It does not appear to be...
What kind of breast surgery do I need?
Breast surgery options
Nov 26, 2016
Thank you for your question. I think there are several questions that you need to ask yourself. It is important for you to figure out what it is you are trying to achieve. Do you want smaller breasts or just perkier breasts? Do you want your breast to be more full on the upper portion? Depending on your answer either a breast lift or a breast reduction can be performed. The breast lift will not change the volume. Both of these procedures will allow for reduction...
Long air travel after B/A?
Traveling after breast augmentation
Nov 26, 2016
The most important time following breast augmentation surgery is the initial few weeks. This is the time at which you are most at risk for a bleed. As time continues this risk lessons. The next most important thing is your activity level with regards to the use of your arms and chest muscles. If your implants are placed below the muscle than increased activity level with these muscles can cause your implants to stay high and not to drop appropriately. As...
Here's a pic of what I want my boobs to look like. What should I do to get this look?
Breast augmentation with some sagging
Nov 25, 2016
Thank you for clarification of your question. A more definitive answer to this question would be possible with photographs of your present self or by seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon. A small amount of drooping of the breast can be accommodated with a breast augmentation when the implants are placed beneath the muscle without additional incisions. A larger amount of sagging can be taken up when the implants are placed above the...
Orgasm at 1 week post op submuscular breast augmentation okay?
Post breast augmentation activity
Nov 25, 2016
Thank you for your question. The most important thing following a breast augmentation is to limit your activity level specially involving the arms and chest muscles. This will reduce the possibility of bleeding and forming a hematoma. Certainly no vigorous activity should be performed using the breasts themselves. However simple heart rate elevation from a self induced orgasm should not post too much of a risk.
Redness and wound at areola 15 days post-op. Is this normal?
Incision healing
Nov 21, 2016
Thank you for your question. There is a small area of your incision at the lower areola where it looks like the skin opened slightly. Otherwise for this time of healing the appearance looks typical. Understand that it can take approximately 9-12 months for full healing. Up until this time you may see gradual changes to the incision. Be sure to stay in contact with your surgeon for any concerns.
Pros & Cons about a Breast Augmentation?
Pros and cons of a breast augmentation
Nov 20, 2016
Thank you for your question. This is quite a long discussion that you should have with your plastic surgeon. However I will give you some basic answers. The obvious pro of having a breast augmentation is that you will have larger fuller breasts. They may also feel very natural. This can have the effect of boosting your self esteem. Unfortunately like any surgical procedure there are risks. These risks include , assymmetry, scar formation, infection,...
Should I be concerned on the amount of bruising after breast augmentation?
Bruising after breast augmentation
Nov 20, 2016
Thank you for your question. Bruising occurs as a result of bleeding. It is completely normal to have some degree of bleeding during your surgery. There are numerous factors why one patient may bleed more than another such as the extent of the surgery or medications one may be taking prior to surgery. You do not mention how long after surgery you are. However if you are within the first one to two weeks I would consider your bruising to...
How do I know if I need a lift before boob job?
Breast lift with breast augmentation
Nov 18, 2016
The determination for recommending a lift with a breast augmentation is usually made by the position of the nipple areola complex in relation to the fold beneath your breast. In some cases it is very obvious that the patient may need a lift and in other cases it can be borderline. As you have not provided any photographs it is difficult to determine in your specific case. When you visit with a board-certified plastic surgeon they will be able to help you in...
Stitches Not Healed 2 Weeks After Breast Augmentation, I've been applying vitamin E oil, will that
Incision healing after breast augmentation
Nov 18, 2016
Thank you for your question. The majority of your incision looks like it is healing very well. There is one small area left to heal. This does not look like it's infected from the photograph. However it appears to be dried scar tissue that has formed after the incision may have opened. At this time I do not believe vitamin E is going to be helpful over the specific area. There are several options in terms of taking care of the small area. These issues do...
Lifting weight after breast augmentation.
Lifting after breast augmentation
Nov 16, 2016
Following a breast augmentation it is good to limit your activities. While it would take significant trauma to damage the implants themselves you place yourself at risk for possible bleeding if your activity is too strenuous. The other important thing to note is that after implants are placed below the muscle the more you use the chest muscles the more likely you are to keep the implants from dropping into the appropriators pocket. This is as a result of the muscles...
480cc ultra high implants. One still seems to be very hard. Should I go to see my doctor?
Post breast augmentation
Nov 15, 2016
There is no question that everybody heals at a different rate and even each breast may heal differently depending on the surgical procedure. However at this stage if you have concerns about your appearance I would definitely recommend that you revisit with your surgeon and discuss your concerns.
