light to moderate walking is often recommended during the healing process after
surgery because this can stimulate blood circulation, which may help reduce
swelling. Some dieting should also be fine, but check with your plastic surgeon
first. Be sure not to engage in any strenuous activities for several more weeks,
and wear a comfortable, supportive bra during any physical activity.

augmentation, your implants will sit a bit high on your chest. This is because
your breast tissue, skin and muscles need to gradually accommodate the implants
before they can settle into their intended position. Implant settling usually
takes longer for submuscular placement than subglandular placement. Breast
implants take about 6 months to fully settle into place, sometimes longer. Good
luck with your results.

healing. Firmness and swelling are very normal for the first several weeks
after breast augmentation. If you’re interested in practicing massage
techniques to help your breasts heal faster, I suggest consulting with your
surgeon first. Whether implant massage may help your particular case can depend
on the type of breast implant used and the augmentation technique. Best of
luck.

very early in your recovery process and your final results won’t be apparent
for another few months. It’s very common for women to feel doubts about their
decision immediately after surgery. Try to be patient and see how your final
results turn out. If you’re still unhappy with the size after several months go
by, you can consult with your surgeon about updating your implants to a larger
size.

depend on the approach your surgeon used for your breast augmentation. Many
surgeons provide women with bandages and a special post-op bra to wear after
their augmentation. This compression garment can help improve swelling and
encourage blood circulation. Once you return to your normal routine, many
surgeons suggest wearing a sports bra until your incisions have healed, as
underwire can irritate the incisions and disrupt the...

can be easily resolved by a skilled breast surgeon. The best implant type
depends on your ideal look. If you wish to create a subtle, natural looking
result, you may want to consider gummy bear implants. However, if you’re
interested in a more augmented look, your surgeon can use differently sized
round implants to create more upper pole fullness. If you specifically want the
most symmetrical results possible, ask your...

may be enough to fill out your breasts and create a more youthful profile. If
this is your aim, choose a modest implant size, as large implants can increase
sagging due to their weight. However, if you have a moderate to severe case of
breast ptosis, it may be worth it to consider combining your augmentation with
a lift. Most women who choose this option are very satisfied with their
results. I understand your concern with...

might be going on. However, since you have had your breast implants for several
years and only recently began to experience some pain, you may have capsular
contracture. This is one of the most common complications that develops after
breast augmentation, but should be easily remedied with revision surgery. Since
your breast doesn’t feel hard to the touch and you don’t have pain throughout
the breast, you may have...

only 2 or 3 months ago, it’s still too soon to determine what your final
results will look like. Keep in mind that breast implants can take up to a year
to drop in some women, and the larger the implant, the longer it typically
takes. It’s also not uncommon for swelling to be uneven. However, it’s
important that you aren’t in pain. You can consider taking Ibuprofen or ask
your physician for a prescription if you need...

and possibly capsular contracture in both breasts, which would explain the pain
you are feeling. It also appears as if you could benefit from a moderate to low
profile implant to encourage the base width of your breasts to expand. If
you’re interested in anatomically shaped implants, you may be a good candidate
for gummy bear implants, as these can create a natural looking shape and may
also decrease your risk of developing...

issues and shoulder pain, you may want to consider a reduction. A skilled
surgeon can make sure that you keep a full and attractive cup size while taking
off some of the extra weight that’s bothering you. You need a face-to-face
consultation before anyone can give you concrete answers, but there’s a chance
that your postural issues might be having an effect on the appearance of your
breasts. A breast reduction also always involves elements of a breast...

the process with the right mindset and may be an ideal candidate for a breast
lift. If your only real concern is sagging, and you don’t mind losing a little
bit of cup size, then it is a good idea to avoid implants. A lift should be
able to tighten up the tissue around your breast pocket to perk them up, as
well as help with nipple placement. You would need a face-to-face consultation
before anyone can give you definite answers, but the breast lift is...

for a subtle enhancement with smaller implants. Generally speaking, more modest
augmentation usually leaves the breasts looking more natural and less obviously
enhanced, so small implants should be able to give you what you’re looking for.
You may want to consider silicone implants with subpectoral placement, in which
the implants are placed beneath the tissue and muscle, making them less
apparent from the outside. Given your description and expectations,...

loss. It is common for breasts to begin to sag after dropping significant
pounds. Your options are to consider a breast lift, implants or both. A breast
lift will maintain your current cup size and address sagging and nipple
placement. It can also help with your asymmetry. The other option is to use
differently sized implants to try and even out the size of your breasts, while
adding shape and volume or, alternatively, use a combination of both to increase
size...
