If using a saline implant, the submuscular position is definitely better becuase there will be less rippling and visibilty under the muscle. Breast volume asymmetry can be corrected with a gel implant as well as a saline. You just have to use a slightly smaller volume implant on the larger side and larger one on the smaller side.

It is still too early after surgery to make a decision if you need a revision. The breasts can heal at different rates and need to give it least 6-8 weeks to see how the implants settle into the new pocket. If after three months they are still different may need to go back and lower the higher implant. There is a chnce you were asymmetrical before surgery as well. 98% of women have asymmetrical breasts. This most likely is something called Mondors Disease. Not really a “disease” but a superficial phlebitis of the small veins under the skin at the mammary fold. Self limiting condition and resolve with time. Can be treated with motrin and warm moist heat. Best have your surgeon follow its progress.
