It is very important to follow the aftercare protocols from your provider after laser skin resurfacing. I recommend Aquaphor to my patients because it has great healing properties for post-procedure skin. The ointment keeps the skin moist when reapplied often. After the epidermis has healed, the Aquaphor is substituted with less emollient agents. You should avoid the sun for one month.

Microneedling can improve the appearance of white stretch marks, but it is not a cure. The results will not be dramatic. My recommendation to you would be to schedule a cosmetic consultation and seek if laser treatment is right for you.

Microneedling can be used on the upper cheeks to cheekbone area. I would not recommend this treatment for the eye area. Fraxel is great for fine lines and wrinkles. Please visit a licensed and experienced dermatologist who can successfully perform this procedure.

Microneedling is a superficial process and
therefore fairly safe. Some side effects may include: Pigment loss or increase, skin infection, some bleeding at the treatment site, redness, and inflammation. This is a great treatment when combined with PRP (platelet rich plasma) especially to combat acne scars.

The results from the Rejuvapen are modest. It normally takes
more than one treatment to see results. Periodic repeating of process once or twice a
year is needed as maintenance. It is not equivalent to laser
resurfacing.
