Bilateral mastectomy surgeon? Is this surgery covered by insurance if I’m 18?
Insurance coverage for Top surgery

More and more insurance companies cover gender affirming surgery, including top surgery. Prior to surgery my office submits for pre determination of coverage. If the procedure is denied I will call the insurance company to request a peer to peer review. Unless the policy clearly states that mastectomy for transgender individuals is not a covered benefit I have had good success in getting top surgery covered.
