Thank you for your question. Hard to say without pictures. The quality of the result following liposuction is highly dependent upon the quality of the overlying skin and soft tissue. Are there stretch marks? How old are you? Generally younger patients have better response to liposuction than older ones. Do you smoke? Smokers tend to have poorer skin quality. How about sun exposure? Those with greater amounts of sun exposure tend to have poorer quality skin,
I would…

Thank you for your question and photo. You will likely be fine with an implant alone based on your desire to go up from a B/C to a DD.
A consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can see and examine you can determine how much stretch your stretch your breast envelope has and whether an implant alone will do it. The larger the implant, the less likely you will need a lift.
Best to you as you move forward with this.

Thank you for your questions. As you’ve already sensed, it depends. It does vary from person to person, so it is hard to say 100% for you. In general, the breasts get larger with pregnancy. Some have stretch marks associated with this enlargement and some don’t. If you did have stretch marks, most likely you will be left with some skin laxity as the stretch marks indicate damage to the skins strongest layer, the dermis. This means the elasticity of the skin and its ability…

Thank you for your question. Typically it is the muscle tightening component of the tummy tuck that increases the discomfort associated with recovery. Your vaginal hysterectomy does not significantly touch the muscle, so will have less associated surgical discomfort. Thus, most women say the tummy tuck discomfort is greater than the hysterectomy discomfort.
Wishing you well as you proceed.

Thank you for your questions and pictures. Based on them, I think you would be a reasonable candidate for lipo and an energy device for skin tightening. If you were not satisfied with the skin tightening, you could always go forward with an excision procedure. This way you would go into the excision knowing the limitations of the less invasive procedure and clearly making the decision that a scar is worth the trade.
Best to you as you contemplate your options.

Thank you for your questions and pictures. I am sorry this happened to you.
As you can imagine, this is going to be an involved series of reconstructive surgeries. For your abdomen, you could have tissue expanders placed in your upper abdomen to expand or stretch out the remaining unaffected skin. This tissue would be stretched out over time by filling with increasing amounts of saline. Once enough tissue has been recruited, this skin could then be pulled down to the…

Thank you for your question. It depends. If you are off all your pain medications that might affect your decision-making, then you could return to a sedentary job that requires no lifting. If you are still on such medications, then it is best to wait.
Please ask your plastic surgeon that you are having this procedure with. They may have other thoughts.
Best to you as you move forward.

Thank you for your questions. You still may have a capsule on the nonruptured side. This may impact a surgeons decision to remove it, drain, and/or change pockets. The side that had the capsulectomy probably would not warrant a drain.
Please visit with your local board certified plastic surgeon in consultation to examine you and determine the best plan of action for you moving forward.
Best to you.

Everybody recovers differently. Wear the compression if it helps. It is there for this purpose. You might consider transitioning to some lighter compression such as spanks or exercise pants.
Ask your plastic surgeon what they recommend for this.
Best to you and your recovery.

Thank you for your question and pictures. It does look like you have some muscle laxity below the belly button, so this would benefit from muscle tightening. I can’t tell from the pictures if there is upper abdominal laxity that would also benefit from tightening. If so, then elevation of the skin above the belly button will facilitate this tightening. You won’t need skin excised from hip to hip, but to elevate above the belly button, it will be facilitate with a…

Thank you for your question and pictures. Based on your lateral view, it appears you may have some muscle laxity that would benefit from muscle tightening. An abdominal exam with you on your back can confirm a separation or diastasis of your abdominal muscles.
It also appears you may have some intraabdominal fat that may push against the muscle and skin tightening, preventing complete flattening of your abdomen. This is only addressed with weight loss. It is…

Thank you for your question. I use both in my practice. It is driven by my patients desires and preferences. Some patients want to know right away when their implant is damaged. The structured saline implant, i.e. Ideal implant, will let you know right away as your body absorbs the leaking saline from the damage implant and you see the affected breast get smaller. Because silicone is not absorbed by the body like saline, if it leaks out, it is not absorbed, so the breast volume…

Thank you for your question and pictures. If your goal is to have a tighter skin envelope and a rejuvenated belly button, you would benefit from a tummy tuck. I don’t see obvious muscle laxity, but a physical exam would tell if you have a diastasis or separation of your midline abdominal muscles. This could be addressed with muscle plication or tightening.
I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a consultation and the development of a…

One factor impacting the quality of a liposuction result is the quality of the overlying skin. I cannot tell from these photos if you have any stretch marks. If there are, this tells me the deepest, strongest layer of the skin, i.e. dermis, has been damaged and will decrease the amount of skin retraction expected following fat removal. If there are no stretch marks, you probably can have good results from liposuction alone. Based on your photos, it doesn’t appear that you…

Thanks for your question and pictures.
Sounds like you have some issues that may qualify for a panniculectomy, i.e removal of excess skin and fat below the belly button. Have your primary care physician document your medical issues, recommend therapy, and document continued issues despite compliance with therapy. This will likely increase your chances that insurance will cover your panniculectomy.
Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon who can perform a complete…
