Dr. Dekker, MD, graduated in 1991 from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, as a general physician. He completed a post-graduate diploma in anesthesia at the University of Pretoria before immigrating to Canada in 1998. In 2012, he received certification in dermoscopy from Cardiff University, Whales, followed by a post-graduate diploma in dermatology in 2014 and has received special merits for knowledge in light-emitting technologies.

He is also a member of the Canadian Society of Phlebology, where he has completed a post-graduate fellowship. Being the only practitioner in the Lakeland with additional education in dermatology and vascular diseases, Dr. Dekker’s current work is mainly in the assessment and treatment of skin diseases, leg veins, and aesthetic medicine.

Nurse Megan graduated with honours in 2011 from Georgian College, Ontario, as a practical nurse. She has completed extensive training and certification in the fields of dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Megan specializes in BOTOX® and filler injections, medical-grade skincare, assessment and treatment of varicose and spider veins, and the application of light and energy-based technologies, to name a few. She is qualified as a Certified Aesthetic Consultant and is one of only four nurses in Canada who is a member of the Canadian Society of Phlebology.

Megan also serves as our Director of Operations where she leads our team with the vision of providing unrivalled products and services in our area while utilizing the concepts of the “Improving Your Business Through a Culture of Health” program through the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Lisa graduated in 2015 from Mactech Distance Education, Nova Scotia, as a Medical Office Assistant. In 2019, Lisa joined the Ageless Living team. Lisa is our electronic medical records specialist and the person to first greet our patients when they come through our doors. As our receptionist, she ensures that we provide the most confidential services while abiding by the standards that protect a patient’s right to privacy.

Lisa’s professionalism, reliability, leadership, and approachability have made her an excellent addition to Ageless Living’s management team, as our Team Lead. While she continues her role as a Medical Office Assistant, she aids our Director of Operations in the management of our team as well as day-to-day operations.

Shelby graduated in 2010 from Stanford Fleming College, Ontario, as an Aesthetician. In 2012 she continued her education with Westervelt College, Ontario, graduating as a Medical Office Assistant (MOA). In 2015 Shelby brought her wealth of knowledge to Alberta and joined the Ageless Living team.

Shelby is our ordering and inventory specialist, and she works behind the scenes assisting our entire team to ensure optimal clinic flow and positive patient experiences. As one of our MOA’s, she helps us to provide a professional and personalized clinical experience, while abiding by the standards that protect a patient’s right to privacy.

Sarah studied Licensed Practical Nursing in New Brunswick, graduating in 2011. And although she has never practised as a nurse, she brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to our team.

In the summer of 2019, she was excited to join the Ageless Living team. Sarah also has experience and quite a passion for working with beauty and skincare products. Whether it be greeting clients in person or by phone, or assisting Dr. Dekker, Sarah is sure to be wearing a smile.

Charlene graduated in 2000 from MC College, Edmonton, as an Aesthetician. In 2012 she graduated with honors from the well-acclaimed European Institute of Esthetics, as a Medical Aesthetician. Subsequently, Charlene has also returned to the European Institute of Esthetics and obtained her Certified Clinical Laser Technician designation, as well as specialized certifications in microneedling and dermaplaning treatments.

Charlene joined the Ageless Living team in 2012 and has been an integral part of our team from the beginning. She has extensive knowledge and experience with regard to creating customized treatment plans. Charlene persists with continuing education to bring you the latest in medical aesthetics and best practice protocols.

Jill graduated with honors in 2016 from the European Institute of Esthetics, as a Medical Aesthetician and a Certified Clinical Laser Technician. Shortly after graduating, Jill returned to the European Institute of Esthetics to become a Certified Microblading Technician.

Jill joined the Ageless Living team in 2018, and performs an array of aesthetic treatments in our clinic, specializing in the performance of laser hair removal, microneedling, chemical peels, and microblading treatments. Jill is also one of our teams’ skincare knowledge experts, providing patients with the advice they need for safe and results-driven skincare regimens.

Alanna graduated in 2015 from Portage College as a Licensed Practical Nurse, after moving here from Nova Scotia. She has worked in acute care, maternity, day surgery, as well as drug & alcohol rehabilitation.

Alanna joined the Ageless Living team in 2020 and quickly transitioned into providing therapeutic Botox treatments for conditions such as chronic migraines, hyperhidrosis, and temporomandibular disorders (TMD). She has now become our main cosmetic injector for Botox, filler, and Belkyra treatments while working closely with our senior nurse injector.
