Can anyone explain to me the difference between moderate and high profile?
Breast implant revision
Dec 5, 2016
You have raised important questions that must be clearly answered before pursuing a revision procedure. I would suggest you seek out a board certified plastic surgeon who has a large experience with revision breast implant surgery so that the procedure can be carefully planned to get the best result possible. Good luck!
What type of lift is needed for severe droopy breasts?
Breast lift
Apr 2, 2016
Thanks for your question.  Your situation is very straightforward .  You will need a breast lift that moves your nipple to a higher position and one that tightens using a vertical incision- that will give you a vertical or, as it is sometimes called, lollipop lift.  An incision may also be needed st t eh bottom of your breast need on what it looks like in the operating room.  An implant may be needed if your tissue is as thin as it appears- this can help to improve your shoe over not usi…

Lift or no lift
Feb 25, 2016
This is a very common issue that is very important to address clearly BEFORE you have your implant surgery. 3-D simulations can be very helpful to help you sort out how your result will look with and without a lift.  It is important because your implant placement will be different depending upon whether a lift is planned.  With a lift, your implants will be left in a higher position.Discuss this at length with your surgeon before you proceed.  Good luck!
Feeling impatient but should I wait for a breast lift?
Breast lift timing
Feb 9, 2016
Great question…and a tough one! We see many people who elect to proceed, as you would like to. Just understand that your likelihood of needing some kind of revision is higher after the pregnancy. But it is very reasonable to proceed as long as you know that. Good luck!

Sternum and implant selection
Feb 5, 2016
Thanks for your question. There is nothing especially unusual about your situation! It is very straightforward. Just make sure you see a thoughtful board certified plastic surgeon (American Board of Plastic Surgery) who will work with you to plan your procedure in a way that will optimize breast implants dimensions to what your anatomy will allow! You should get a great outcome! Good luck!
Are my goals really at a high risk for rippling? Had my first consolation with my PS yesterday,
breast augmentation planning
Jan 31, 2016
This is a great question! I may not agree with the absolute statements about volumes that you mention. However, patients can get appealing results, even if the goal is an “artificial” look, with careful thought and planning to breast implant device type and size selection. The most important issue is that you must be comfortable that your surgeon has the experience needed and a comfort level with multiple types of implant devices. The specific differences between…

Uneven breasts listip
Jan 30, 2016
Everyone has some differences between their breasts, but the goal is to try to minimize the differences. Sisters vs twins discussion! I still think that your result can be improved by specific bra use and support routines. Aka your surgeon about this. Especially important with your exercise routines. These are interventions that can help during the first several months following procedures, depending upon what has been done. At the very least they can help…
Bottoming out? Surgery the only option?
Shape issues
Jan 29, 2016
Your situation can frequently be influenced by additional carefully selected bra support. I would suggest that you keep in close contact with the office of your plastic surgeon to see if additional non-operative measures can be helpful. Good luck.
I am 17 days post op BA and I woke up this morning with sharp pain where incision is. Is this n
Incision pain
Jan 28, 2016
Pain can occur adjacent to an incision for the first several weeks. It’s important to remember that your bra may run on a base of the breast incision, so some sort of gauze protection may be in order. Most importantly, keep in close touch with your surgeon’s office for management of your issue. Good luck.
Will your nipples be desensitized after having breast surgery?
Nipple sensation
Oct 14, 2015
It is unusual for patients to lose nipple sensation permanently following breast augmentation. There will be some variation depending upon the technique that a surgeon uses and the individual experience of each surgeon. There can be temporary changes but these usually resolve quickly.
Wanting small Implants. Any suggestions?
small implants
Oct 12, 2015
Your situation is very straight forward. Just make sure that you are comfortable with the level of experience of your surgeon to deliver a subtle result if that is the goal. The options to accomplish that type of result are better than ever!

Breast implants
Oct 9, 2015
You are a perfect candidate! If you look great before having implants, a normal outcome should take you to a great result as long as sizing is fairly conservative.
Is it possible to have a BA that doesn’t have a huge gap, and is natural looking? Would moderate or
Your situation is very straight forward
Oct 7, 2015
Your situation is one that we frequently see. You should be able to get a great result with an augmentation procedure that is carefully planned to fit your tissue type and chest dimensions. The gap issue relates to your anatomy and the width of the breast implant device used, and how your implants are stabilized after placement.Good luck with your procedure!
Is it risky downsizing from 260cc round silicone implants to smaller anatomicals?
Changing to smaller implants
Sep 29, 2015
I would suggest that you see someone very experienced with shaped implants as you consider revision. The key is that the device you change to must fit the dimensions of your chest and the surgeon must gain control of the device pocket, especially when changing to a shaped implant. Shaped implants can be a great tool if placed correctly.
Needing revision due to capsular contracture…any suggestions?
Treatment of unwanted implant firmness
Sep 22, 2015
That can be a challenging problem. Most of our best information suggests that your situation would best be addressed by removal of the scar surrounding your current implant and replacement with a new device. A challenge of the perioareolar approach is the likelihood for contact with breast tissue that frequently has bacteria, thus potentially increasing device exposure to breast bacterial during placement. So, while many surgeons get great results with the nipple incision,…
