Some patients may experience swelling after their SculpSure treatment that can last up to a week. Patients may or may not experience small nodules, which resolve over time. Having or not having these symptoms post treatment should not effect the outcome of the treatment. Most patients begin to see results from their treatment at around the 6 week mark and their full results 12 weeks after their second treatment.

The SculpSure laser is programmed to treat in specific time cycles whether it is on the body or on the submental area. This cannot be altered. You can hear the laser beep as a cycle ends, and new cycle begins.The intensity settings, the option to give a patient a cool shot, to start or end a treatment, are the only things a provider can change. The feeling of heat or cold is subjective and each patient may experience something different.

The earliest recommended to have your second SculpSure treatment of the same area is at 6 weeks. This is most likely due to the amount of inflammation in the treated area has begun to resolve. During the ultrasound studies of post treatment areas of SculpSure, 6 weeks was when inflammation was observed to have begun to decrease. It has been noted that treating too early after the first treatment can result in nodules.
