IPL usually only works for the redness and telangiectasias (spider veins) that you can get with rosacea, as the light only targets red, brown, or blue pigment. Papules and nodules are usually a deeper issue best treated with topicals or oral medication. You can try either finacea or soolantra as topical treatments, and there are some specialty pharmacies that have them at cheaper cost. Otherwise, for rosacea flares, a couple weeks of oral antibiotics can be very effective...

Have you tried a medication called glycopyrrolate? It is usually given in pill form, and now they have new topical formulations. Glycopyrrolate is an anti-cholinergic medication that essentially helps to "dry out" the sweat glands. The pills can be very effective in minimizing sweat for some people. Botox is one of the better options, but I would talk to a Dermatologist to see if the oral medication would be worth a try. Take care!

It is very unlikely that this spot will scar as it appears to be a superficial skin irritation. It should improve with time and completely resolve within a couple months. Continue your skin care regimen and make sure to avoid sun exposure to the area, as the sunlight could darken the irritated skin. As time passes, the bump should smooth out. Daily massage will also help break up the scar tissue to flatten it. If it has not improved after a couple months, there are treatments that can help give you a better cosmetic look, like kenalog injections or laser resurfacing. I know it can be tough, but give it some more time. Hang in there!

It appears you may be allergic or sensitive to epiduo, which is usually from the benzoyl peroxide in the product. When you're face is so irritated, it is best to use simple product (without preservatives, etc), like plain coconut oil. Ice packs applied to the face can be used to relieve the burning and swelling.
